Five-year-old Kaiden Williams has already lived through more heartbreak than most people experience in a lifetime.

Last year, he lost his mother to cancer.

Now, he is fighting cancer himself.

What first looked like an insect bite near his left eye quickly turned into every parent’s worst nightmare. Doctors discovered a rare and aggressive cancer called Stage III rhabdomyosarcoma.

Chemotherapy began immediately, but the cancer kept growing. Kaiden lost his left eye, and the tumor continued to spread, changing his little face in ways no child should ever endure.

His father, Kevin, is still trying to cope with losing his wife while desperately fighting to save his son. Between hospital visits, caring for Kaiden and his other child, and overwhelming grief, keeping up with work has become almost impossible.

There is hope.

Kaiden has been accepted for specialized treatment at the National Cancer Institute in India. The cost of his treatment, surgery, chemotherapy, housing, meals, and transportation is approximately US$25,000.
